The EmpowerCare Refugee Career Pathways Program (ECRCP) program provides refugees and asylees with professional training, career planning, and mentorship opportunities to help achieve meaningful, sustainable careers.

  • Flexible and Adaptable: Your career plan grows with you. Short-, medium-, and long-term goals can adjust as you make progress or face new challenges.

  • Affordable Learning: Gain access to programs that might otherwise cost thousands of dollars—with funding support available up to $12,000 over three years (for those who are chosen via application).

What’s Required?

Here’s what we ask of our ECRCP program participants:

  • Regular meetings with your Career Navigator (at least monthly).

  • Develop and follow your personalized Career Development Plan.

  • Enroll in and complete a relevant training or certification program.

  • Engage with your Career Mentor regularly.

  • Participate in skill-building activities such as resume workshops, mock interviews, and cover letter creation and cultural trainings.

How Do I Get Started?

Here’s what you need to do to get started with ECRCP:

  1. Fill out the ECRCP Interest Form. (Click here to access the form)

  2. Determine Eligibility. Complete eligibility documentation as required by ORR.

  3. Interview. Discuss goals and alignment with the Career Navigator.

  4. Participant Agreement. Sign a one-year commitment to program participation.

  5. Decide on Your Goals. Provide details to personalize your career plan.
