Are you looking to build your design and communications portfolio while making a real difference in your community?

Human Migration Institute (HMI) is a nonprofit organization supporting refugee newcomers in Riverside County—and we’re looking for a creative, proactive intern to help us share our story and expand our impact.

🎯 What You’ll Do:

  • Design social media graphics and write engaging captions

  • Create Mailchimp email newsletters to connect with our donors and supporters

  • Design flyers and outreach materials for community events

  • Support community outreach efforts and help spread the word about our mission

💡 Who We’re Looking For:

  • Someone creative, self-motivated, and proactive

  • Comfortable working independently and taking initiative

  • Experience with Canva, Adobe, or similar design tools

  • Strong design, writing, and communication skills

  • Passion for social work, migration, or community work
